In this day and age we are all requested to stick to one basic rule: stay at home, no matter what.
This is the most effective thing we can do to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

And this is also the role each one of us has to play in fighting against this terrible virus that has already spread all over the world.

We are firmly asked to keep our distance from others, and yet to stay close from a distance in order to protect both ourselves and our community. This is why we have to find new ways to stay close from a distance, be with our friends and loved ones without hugging them but, at least, sending them long-distance kisses.

Our call for artists is for street artists, artists, photographers, graphic designers and illustrators who, through a POSTER, are willing to tell stories about commitment, our everyday life that has been turned upside down or the future we would like to be given back

#diamocidentro is also a way to:

– say THANK YOU to all those people who are currently taking care of ill patients as well as those providing the necessary services for the whole community;

– remember all those people who have passed away and be close to their families.

#letsdoit is also a way to go back to our lives, or rather, to make our lives even better!

DEAD LINE

The deadline was postponed to 15.07.2020 to continue the path of this project together with the McLuc Culture Association of Parma.

Happy with this collaboration because “Union makes the strength” is always a winning strategy and thanks to this opportunity two cities will be involved: Faenza city of Ceramics + Parma city of Music (Capital of Culture 2020-21) where the widespread urban installations will be created.

This call for artists is meant for artists, street artists, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators and all those who are involved in the visual arts field. No age limit.

All the received works will be displayed in an online exhibition and also printed for two widespread urban installations using the municipal empty billboards in the city of Faenza and Parma.

Vector graphics, illustration, photography, collages are all admitted techniques. Each artist is allowed to send  up to 3 posters (that is, max.3 posters for each artist). Only black-and-white posters will be accepted (grayscale included).

Only files in.pdf or .jpg formats will be accepted.

Each poster’s dimensions must be 70×100 cm (vertical orientation) with resolution 300 dpi.

SELECTED PROJECTS

All the posters will be displayed in a digital gallery and the selected ones will be used for a widespread urban installation in the town centre of Faenza and Parma. The installation will be presented on the occasion of the tenth anniversary celebration of  ‘Distretto A – Faenza Art District’ and the 15th anniversary of McLuc Culture .
The names of the selected artists will be published on our website www.distrettoa.it within 30 days as of the deadline of the call.

RIGHTS

The projects as well as their property rights are of exclusive ownership of their authors, who are also responsible for their authenticity. By taking part in the call, the authors implicitly accept its regulation, that is the temporary exhibition of the works in urban areas and the use of their works by the organizers for the promotion of non-commercial activities of Association DISTRETTO A – Faenza Art District.
